This Unique Contemporary Jewelry is encoded with binary numbers. A binary number is a sequence of 1's and 0's that represents a number written in base 2 and are the backbone of how a computer works, where bits are either in the on or off position. This manifests itself as the solid and empty circles in the earring design.

Each earring is a cipher that you can read. The top circle counts for 8, the second circle counts for 4, the third circle counts for 2, and the bottom circle counts for 1. From this you can read the corresponding binary number directly from the earring. For example, the earring with the solid top and bottom circles and the empty middle circles should be read as the binary number 1001, a cipher for the number 8+1=9.

For this collection we have created fifteen pairs of rhodium-plated earrings representing Numbers 1 through 15. Only one pair of each will ever be made and each pair comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the designer. Once the fifteen one-of-a-kind pairs are exhausted, the only model that will be available is the model with four empty circles.
