Graph Theory is the study of connections and networks. These earrings show two special graphs—the complete graph on five vertices (K5) and the complete bipartite graph with six vertices (K3,3). Together they give complete information about when a graph can be drawn on paper without crossings. This is known as Kuratowski's Theorem. Even though they can not be drawn on paper without crossings, these earrings have been designed to have no intersections.
These earrings pair perfectly with our Petersen Graph Pendant.
Dimensions: The K5 earring is 0.8in (2cm) tall and the K3,3 earring is 1.2in (3cm) tall.
Our Metal jewelry is created through a lost-wax casting process. A mold of the object is 3D printed in high-resolution wax, a plaster mold is created around the wax, and the wax is replaced by molten metal. Brass, Bronze, and Silver jewelry will patina over time.
Silver and Rhodium Plated Earrings feature sterling silver earwire. Brass and Gold Plated Earrings feature gold-filled earwire. Rose Gold Plated Earrings feature rose gold plated earwire.
