Glimpse the fourth dimension with the hyperoctahedron necklace from our 4D Collection. This piece is the four-dimensional version of the octahedron. Just as the octahedron is created by placing a pair of points above and below a square and connecting them to all the square’s corners, the hyperoctahedron is created by placing a pair of points “above” and “below” the octahedron in the fourth dimension and connecting them to all the octahedron’s corners.
In this three dimensional shadow, those two points appear inside the octahedron. This pendant was designed in a computer using mathematical software and then brought to life using 3D printing technology.
Pairs well with a set of hypersimplex or hypercube earrings.
Our Metal jewelry is created through a lost-wax casting process. A mold of the object is 3D printed in high-resolution wax, a plaster mold is created around the wax, and the wax is replaced by molten metal. Brass and Bronze jewelry will patina over time.
